A 270Wp (Watts peak) system was installed at the Nyonkiayee Public school located in Yarwen – Mehnsonnoh, District Nimba County.

According to the school principal Mr. Emmanuel Gbarwee , he said since the establishment of the school  in 1975, it is first time to operate on a solar electricity.

Mr. Gbarwee also promised our technicians that the system (equipment’s) will be well maintain and to be used for it intended purposes.

Before the installation, a town hall meeting was organized by the principal and staff of the Nyonkiayee public school, at the meeting community members and parents were in attendance to welcome the technicians.

Mr. Emmanuel Gbarwee, in his concluding statement said, he was so excited when he received the communication from EnDev – GIZ that a 270Wp solar system will be install at the Nyonkiayee public school and he is even more excited to see that this is being effective.

After the meeting, the installation technicians conducted a basic hand – on trainings about system usage and maintenance to staffs, security and the community leadership.

The system is now 100% completed and is in operation.
