Five days of ICT4Renewables training ended successfully on June 29th, 2018at the EnDev office, led by ICT expert and ICT4Renewavles developer Hamza Zbidi. Participants from Ministries, NGOs, EnDev and the private sector learned about EnDev-Collect App, EnDevCarto mapping tool, www.renewables-liberia.info web portal and Renewables Liberia social media – the information and communication technology (ICT) tools of the ICT4Renewables toolbox.

The Energising Development Program (EnDev) hosted a five-day training seminar from the 31st of July to the 4th of August 2017 on the designing, construction and testing of institutional stoves. The renowned international stove expert and kitchen designer, Food and Fuel consultant Christa Roth from Germany, was present at the GIZ/EnDev 100% Solar Office located adjacent to the Chinese Embassy on Congo Town Back Road, Liberia. She served as the trainer alongside the EnDev stove team as host.

From last year to present, four Technical and Vocational Training (TVET) institutions (BWI, Tubman High, Stella Maris, NVTC) have piloted a 3 months Solar PV curriculum, developed within the EU funded Light Up Liberia program.

The International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) and the Abu Dhabi Fund for Development (ADFD)  with their joint Project Facility invite governmental, semi-governmental, private or non-governmental entities to apply with replicable, scalable and potentially transformative renewable energy projects in developing countries, including Liberia. Applications will be accepted until February 15, 2018.
